About us

Part of a global group, built for offshore Indonesia

Steel wire ropes, anchors, anchor chains, rigging, mooring equipment, and fabrication — supporting offshore exploration, construction, and marine shipbuilding.

Introduction

Established to support the offshore industry in Indonesia

Franklin Offshore Indonesia Perkasa was established in Indonesia as a provider of steel wire ropes, anchors, anchor chains, rigging, mooring equipment, and fabrication to support the offshore exploration, construction, and marine shipbuilding industry.

The company forms part of the Franklin Offshore group of companies, strategically located in Singapore, Australia, Indonesia, South Korea, Azerbaijan, Qatar, the United States of America, and the Netherlands — with an experienced, service-oriented workforce and a corporate culture solidly based on professionalism, innovation, and service.

Mooring

Mooring equipment, services, and projects

Our equipment sales and leasing businesses include the sale and leasing of mooring equipment such as anchors, anchor lines, mooring chains, buoys, and deepwater swivels, together with the sale of oilfield equipment.

Our mooring services generally involve the fastening and anchoring of offshore rigs, platforms, vessels, and other structures to the ocean floor so that they remain stationary during exploration or production activities.

  • Temporary mooring — installation, retrieval, and reinstallation of mooring systems to coincide with the movement of mobile offshore drilling units such as semi-submersibles and floaters. Over 50 temporary mooring projects completed in the last 10 years.

  • Permanent mooring — one-time, long-term installation of mooring systems, typically for floating production or storage vessels, for the duration of a well's production phase. Five permanent mooring projects completed since 2008.

  • Project-based mooring services — from specific mooring solutions to implementing the entire mooring system requirements of an offshore project.

Rigging

Rigging equipment and lifting services

Our equipment sales and leasing businesses include rigging equipment such as drill lines, pendant wires, shackles, cable-laid slings, crane hoist ropes, and related fittings.

Our rigging services consist of lifting and securing a wide range of equipment, machinery, vessels, and other objects, onshore and offshore — including lifting heavy production equipment onto oil and gas platforms, seafastening cargo, and towing vessels for transportation. We generally provide all rigging equipment required in these lifting operations, along with load testing, spooling, and termination of steel wire rope.

Customized units

Design, fabrication, and single-source delivery

Beyond mooring and rigging equipment and services, we provide design and fabrication services for customized pieces of mooring and rigging equipment, as well as vessel chartering services.

We act as a single source for all or substantially all of the equipment and services required to develop, install, and operate temporary and permanent mooring systems — provided either entirely in-house or, for permanent mooring projects, through a combination of in-house and subcontracted services.

The group owns a fleet of nine vessels — two crane barges, four transportation barges, two test barges, and one pipelay barge — primarily supporting equipment supply and project activities, and available for chartering subject to availability. Principal manufacturing facilities are located at the Singapore headquarters with 210 metres of waterfront, supported by subsidiaries and associated companies across the region.
